Idiocy surrounds us all… Are you smart enough to notice?

Here are some good FACTS, will probably make me loose followers but I really couldn’t care less.

Over 40% of Americans take the story of creation as a fully factual story…

Only 4/10 Americans believe in evolution….

Unfortunately in some schools ‘intelligent design’ is favored over evolution in the science room.

Now telling stories of magic and enjoying the tales is never a wrong thing to do, in fact I myself enjoy many myths and tales, and I truly believe that a child’s imagination should be explored and expanded as much as possible, yet children should not be brain washed by a religion forced upon them. Instead of this forced religion approach a teaching of comparative religion should be adopted, then the child can make there own choice. (If the child is intelligent they will be able to see all the contradictions in religion and make the obvious deduction that they are all false in there stories and will seek reality over fiction)

Oh For Fuck Sake….

Watching the news and a man has been killed by a shark in the Seychelles, a 6 foot shark, which i suspect is a bull shark (but i could be wrong) is suspected to be a ‘rough’ shark, this means the shark has killed more than one person as there was also a fatal shark attack on a beach close to that area on the second of this month. although it is an awful tragedy that the man has died and i do feel great sympathy for his family and his wife, this will have serious repercussions on local shark populations, this year the figure of fatal shark attacks is 6 and the amount of sharks killed by humans is 74million, and after even a non fatal attack the amount of sharks killed shoots up until the ‘attacking’ shark is killed, now this idea of the shark being caught is a highly unlikely situation as sharks tend to travel long distances, there is a saying stated by one of my favorite shark biologists Dr Eric Ritter ‘the shark that is here today will probably be 100miles away by tomorrow, and the shark that is 100miles away today is going to be here by tomorrow’. This is not to say that that shark is not going to stick around if the shark is in fact a rough shark the shark will have learned that there is a food supply in the area so it may stay in that area, but the problem occurs when people mindlessly hunt sharks and kill sharks in a fit of idiotic vengeance and outrage, people who do this don’t just want the shark in question, the ancestral urge to hunt and kill the great beast, the old moby dick tale, kicks in and makes a small man feel big for a short time, to be a mis-interpretative local hero for a month until another perfectly adapted animal does what its instincts tell it to and another human is in the wrong place at the wrong time and an unfortunate tragedy such as this occurs

(I personally would like to say i am not intending to be disrespectful to any of the two people who have died in the last two weeks and would like to say it is a tremendous shame that these fatal tragedies have occurred)

finally my narcissistic ways are beginning to wear off on those close to me

Now my best friend is starting to show the early signs of turning into me, he doesn’t know if he should be ‘proud or upset’ as he put it, he should be both :) my short fuse with the lesser minded and my constant expressions of mocking laughter and ‘cruel’ sinister words which causes the belittling of the people around me is only fueled by the showcasing of the mediocre and so very average of today’s ever so shallow society, which of course leaves me a very unpopular individual.

Even so my friend seems to have finally cracked as the strain of people arguing; ‘who listened to what music first’ and the constant drift of poser preteens who have just discovered rock music trying to prove there post and commitment to the rock scene seems to have worn my friend down and his rants are almost as cutting as mine, i feel strangely proud myself, you see this is the person who usually serves as the theoretical angel on the shoulder, fighting off the 20,000 demons on the apposing shoulder.
